A [http://www.sigmaphi-cornell.org Epsilon Chapter] of the Sigma Phi Society was founded at Cornell University in 1890. A chapter was established under the leadership of Andrew Dickson White, president of the university and a Sig from either a University of Michigan.

Completed around 1933, the facility includes balconies and fireplaces for the single sleeping room, & the squash court in the basement. One of a society's oldest & virtually all venerable traditions is a communal dinner, five nights the week, served by waitresses.
Long considered a strongest fraternal organization at Cornell, [http://www.sigmaphi-cornell.org Sigma Phi] remains smaller than more houses at a school to foster womb-to-tomb bonds.
